What do you do when your decorating style is rustic, romantic, not too pink and over-the-top girl; the husband and family home is more contemporary modern day and neutral?

Well I guess you keep all those beautiful finds and beg to decorate your family cottage in "this" style!
Note to self: Hold onto favorite finds. Do not sell these items. Stop living vicariously through my best customer's and new found friends. Those whom I encourage and share insight into creating 'their' vision for living the life they want...the life I want!

Yes...it is time to DECORATE and LIVE this look, this life.
More soon to share. Be part of my transformation...I need your creative juices!
Can't wait to show you the before...and then the afters!

Thanks husband and children for finally accepting the creative life I want to live. (P.S. you may have to book an appointment to visit/stay here as I plan to be very busy with me, myself
and I)

Be Happy...Happy New Year

Such inspiration I feel from reading my favorite blogs...pic's and words give me hope.. that I can do...what they have revealed and accomplished. I need "them" to feel alive in my plan, dreams and aspirations. Thank you for existing and sharing!

Now with children in college...I have to work a 'real' job...with a steady income. But I will always follow my dream...for without it...I will be just another unhappy person. That is the truth. I want to enjoy everyday and live to the fullest...to love life and be the best person I can be for my family...they whom... I exist for!

When my daughter gets a little down...about her future expectations...I tell her to live in the moment...grab onto the day...because life is truly worth living...there is so much wonder and possibility in a day...be aware..and be happy.

Starting a new year gives us hope. Without hope, like faith, it's difficult to see past this moment.
I wish everyone hope for 2011.
Life is good! Be a participant and seize the day!

Lavender

I love this pic of the lavender fairy. Her little face reminds me of a little girl my daughter was in school with in grade one.
I sell lavender buds in my store and I find people either love the smell or hate it! Chocolate with lavender and lavender shortbread aren't my fav..a little too intense a flavour, however, a little bit of 'herbs de provence' on baked chicken or baked potatoes is definitely a hit with the taste buds.

What's on my mind

Wow. Business is starting to pick up these days...but it is due to the weather. The econmic picture is still a little dreary around here. I have many projects and ideas in the works but starting these seems to be so hard! I know we can never go back and do things all over...cause really isn't that what life is about! Learning...making mistakes...hanging in there till you have a "eureka" moment. People try to advise us so that we don't re-invent the wheel over and over again...but we really do need to experience some things on our own. Boy I have made many many mistakes. I am trying to be focused and stick to a plan. That is what I have learned. It is so easy to be mislead, misinformed, made empty promises and have others waste my energy. This year my goal is to be more forward and protective of my baby...cause my business is my baby. I do love to learn and share ideas from those who have "been there" and "done that" cause it reinforces that I am truly not an idiot. LOL. I just try not to make the same mistake twice. I have to admit...I am a bit of gambler too. I guess I get this from my family. I do take chances. Wow. It can only get better from here. There is no where left to go. Thanks for listening!

First Time...a little Nervous

I can't believe I am here! I have read so many wonderful, inspiring blogs from many women with whom I share the same interests. So now I thought I would share too! Where do I start.
Well I live in Brantford Ontario Canada. Birthplace of Wayne Gretzky. I have a love for shabby chic and vintage. My personal decorating approach (or goal) is less clutter, clean lines and easy on the eye. I love white, pretty and old things. I love love love peeking into your homes and lives looking for inspiration on how to bring more passion and living into my own life and surroundings...thanks for being there!
